1. Individually post static screen designs as you refine the visual language and work through the interactive moments
   • For context you must include links to your group’s 3 or 4 sketch iterations for this touchpoint, preferably showing some of those images in your post body as reference
   • Include a “structure map” or site map that describes your touchpoint’s entire system (if you already made a site map for last Thursday, you are done here)

   • Re: “Dearest Space Cadets” email — Document space photographically
   • And — Sketch ideas over photographs

Day 18, Oct 21 (Th):

1. Be able to demonstrate progress (no post required)
2. XL touchscreen group:
   • Prepare all graphic elements for import into Flash (animated elements should be separated by layer for quick import)
   • Collect all actual images and text for import into Flash
   • Create an AS3.0 Flash file to the appropriate dimensions of the touchscreen
   • Import all graphic elements, images, and text to Flash file as discreet movieclips (as you see fit)
3. Web site group:
   • Prepare first screen (or subsequent screens) in point-for-pixel INDD file — use real text and images, and completely fill out the screen
   • Create experience sequence diagram (boxes and arrows) — linear user path
   • Complete information audit — text should be collected in a single document (probably DOCX) for import into INDD pages
   • Begin locating and creating source images
4. Mobile app group:
   • Prepare all graphic elements for import into Flash (animated elements should be separated by layer for quick import)
   • Collect all actual images and text for import into Flash
   • Create an AS3.0 Flash file to the appropriate dimensions of the iPhone (or chosen mobile device)
   • Import all graphic elements, images, and text to Flash file as discreet movieclips (as you see fit)
5. Physical space group:
   • Create digital sketches from paper sketches — really get to work on the “screens” in question, whatever that means for you
   • Create experience sequence diagram (boxes and arrows)
   • Re-shoot space according to shot & angle brainstorm (last session)

Day 19, Oct 26 (Tu):

1. Everybody posts progress (no corresponding group post though)
2. XL touchscreen group:
   • Organize movieclips on the timeline according to the before, during, and after phases
   • Create the necessary animations / tweens for each phase
   • Refine graphic elements as needed
3. Web site group:
   • Finish all INDD layered documents, with real text and images
   • Determine all rollover states and other interactive functions in order to utilize workshop time
4. Mobile app group:
   • Organize movieclips on the timeline according to the before, during, and after phases
   • Create the necessary animations / tweens for each phase
   • Refine graphic elements as needed
5. Physical space group:
   • Do significant progress work on any selected special experience methods
   • Create and refine interactive moments
   • Document the space using multiple representational methods

1. Print out 3 copies of a black-and-white 11×17″ page with:
   • A representative image of your prototype (before–during–after set if appropriate)
   • Your project title and topical group below (nice and big)
   • Your name below (big too)

3. Comment in detail on final prototypes via course site
   • Comment on others in your topical group
   • Comment on 5 more
   • You are focusing on how the work can be extended for the scenario — looking forward

Day 24, Nov 11 (Th):

1. Post an image of your rough scenario storyboard:
   • hand/rough sketch of what we will see on the screen, including the camera angle (before, during, and after interaction)
   • Note the actor(s)
   • Note the location
   • Note the time of day
   • Describe in detail what we will see in each shot
   • Describe in detail what the actor will do
   • Include any script the actor will recite
   • Include any cropping, panning or other framing techniques
   • Consider the use of annotations on the screen

Day 25, Nov 16 (Tu):

1. Create a high-resolution video of your interactive touchpoint thread (post a low-res version to the site):
   • Mobile app: use iShowU (or a video screen capture program of your choosing) to record yourself interacting with and clicking through your interface thread (don’t record the cursor). You should record yourself going through the thread a few times in order to get the best recording. Also, if you choose (not required), you can develop another aspect of your interface that is inline with your section of the scenario using afterEffects.
   • XL Touchscreen: use iShowU (or a video screen capture program of your choosing) to record yourself interacting with and clicking through your interface thread (don’t record the cursor). You should record yourself going through the thread a few times in order to get the best recording. Also, if you choose (not required), you can develop another aspect of your interface that is inline with your section of the scenario using afterEffects.

Make sure your composition matches the proportion of the physical space onto which you will apply it.

Day 29, Dec. 2 (Th):

1. Final Scenario reel compiled by full group by 10:15 sharp
2. Two (duplicate) final files DVDs (some time granted during class)
